    ROOM(S) AVAILABLE

We have good news for someone who may have wanted to attend the event, but chose not too previously because there weren't any rooms left! We have 1 fishing cabin left and possibly one regular room. If you are interested, please private message me or give me a call at Nine 5 One, Seven 75, Three 8 One Six. We will be canceling this room reservation Thursday, September 7th if there are no takers.

The day I left a very strong wind came up and the waves across the bay were downright scary. It took more like an hour and 15 minutes to get back. The weather forecasted for the wind to come up, and it was going to remain, so the only option would have been to wait until morning. It is the only time I let someone else drive my boat in water like that. The guy I was with has his inland pilots license for boats up to 100 tons or something like that. I learned a lot that day. If there is no forecast for wind, I would do it in a heartbeat. I may do it again this year, frankly the weather may be the deciding factor.
I am/was interested in doing this as well. Looking at the map it doesn't seem to save much time overall. From the exit of I15 to the ramp at echo it's at least 45 min. Add the time it takes to get into the water, then the boat ride, you may only be a few minutes faster to temple bar. Then I don't have to worry about my truck sitting alone or weather. I still don't feel confident in myself enough as an operator to take on weather if I ran into it. If I met up with a second boat and we left and returned together I would feel much more comfortable. I think it would be awesome to ride through the lake.

I have done it both ways, and would estimate it saves about an hour to get to temple bar. Although the last part of commuting across the lake is quite a bit funner than the desert commute. You can't count the launch time against it, since you have to do that on either end. It is a more direct route, so shaves off a lot of miles.

The other thing I do worry about is if you had a mechanical failure or struck a rock, it sucks to be 20 miles from your trailer. Also, if you are staying in the hotel, even with water levels coming up, it is quite a hike up the ramp to the hotel. If nobody is around to help you get up the ramp, it can be unpleasant when it is 95+ degrees outside.

The bottles and koozies turned out great this year.... let me know if anyone wants some still! I will meet up with the owner of ADP (American Data Plates -Palmdale, CA) one more time before we head up to the reunion.... all orders have been fulfilled for those that placed them.

              Just a heads up:

Called to check my reservation today. Asked about fuel prices while I had them on the phone. Land price is $3.49 and water price is $3.67. The guy couldn't tell me how old the fuel is. I always get a bit nervous filling at marinas this time of year as I imagine the fuel could be pretty old. I'm near empty now. Think I'll fill up as I pass through Vegas. Those prices are about $2.70.

I would bet the fuel sits all winter and never gets used until spring. Hopefully, there has been pretty good turnover this summer.

Temple Bar was booked solid over July 4th weekend. We were thinking about making the trip out there. I would guess plenty of gas was used during that time frame.

Keep in mind for those that require 91 OCT in your boat.....Temple doesn't have it, its 87 OCT only. So bring some OCT booster.

We have several sponsors attending the Event this year and one of our attending sponsors is WakeBallast. He will be holding an Event Sale for anyone interested selling Wakeballast Bags. Also Ben will be bringing his "Billboard" out with him (2017 Centurion Ri257). As he will be attending the event alone, and would like to get a few sessions of surfing in himself if you kind find it in your heart to be seen on a Centurion (Totally kidding its a beautiful boat) and would like to try out a Centurion while you are there he will be more than happy to take you out as long you don't mind giving him a pull in return.

That is awesome! Would love to help if I am able! Looking forward to meeting him and checking out his "Billboard" of a boat! From what I have seen on the social media platforms it is a giant!

What's the large Tige emblem in the pic?

If you are referring to the Koozies and Bottles that's the new logo. It's the temple! If you're talking about the piece of wood there... That is merely a garage piece I decided to put in the picture. American Data Plates made that for me when he was getting ready to laser the Tigé emblem into my swim step. It was scrap to him so he just let me have it..

This is very cool. Any idea what cost will be on bags? I'd love to give and get a pull in that boat.

Are you the one that won the bags last year?
