Brad pencil me in at any time available and I will take it for any of the demo boat slots. Of course I would like to surf only as well as just ride and observe. I will also offer up my assistance for any needed help.

I will have one large folding table I will bring along with some chairs. Will help set up dinner area if needed.

We may roll in on Wednesday night.

Aquatic Invasive Species - Nevada Sticker

I just purchased my Aquatic Invasive Species sticker for Nevada today. It's $20.50 online through this website; http://www.ndow.org/Boat/Aquatic_Inv...l_Information/ We have never been checked at Temple Bar for the reunion, so the fee and the sticker seems almost pointless... but the one time I don't get the dang sticker, it would be my luck they would be checking and ticketing those without it.

I've never heard of the nevada sticker? is it required even with a current Ca invasive species sticker?

Well, I've never been checked for it, but I get one every year for the reunion just in case. Figure $20 is better than the fine.

Arizona registered boats are exempt from this requirement on Lake Mead. I wonder if this still applies as Temble Bar is in Arizona. Just don't cross the Nevada state line on the water

From their website "California registered watercraft are exempt from the purchase of Nevada’s AIS decal for the interstate waters of Lake Tahoe and Topaz Lake. All other waters of the State of Nevada require an AIS Decal for California registered watercraft".

that's interesting. When we were there last year, we even launched from the nevada side. Nobody said a word to us, either atbthe gate or on thw water, about having that sticker.

Hopefully the money generated goes to the parks and lakes but more ways for the government to separate you from your money. I suggest applying it at a 90* angle.

Anybody boat over from Echo? About 20 miles? What is the launch ramp like at echo? Trying to decide if I'll drive or not. Thanks looking forward to the reunion!

Larry (Talltigeguy) has done it before. I think it is about a half an hour boat ride vs. a 2 hour drive.
I'm sure conditions can be a factor.

I am with D&P on this one as well as boatwakes... I buy it every year only to not ever get checked... However, the year I don't they will come get me... 90* angle x2

Cricket, we used to houseboat out of echo and stay in Mushroom cove just up from temple. I would have friends come in for a couple days and we'd ferry back and forth to echo in my 99 2100. When its choppy, it was hell (but that boat hates anything but glass anyway) but by far closer than driving a car (100 miles by vehicle).

I did it. It saves a fair amount of road driving. It is only about a 30 minute boat ride, vs. an extra 2 hours in the car.

The day I left a very strong wind came up and the waves across the bay were downright scary. It took more like an hour and 15 minutes to get back. The weather forecasted for the wind to come up, and it was going to remain, so the only option would have been to wait until morning. It is the only time I let someone else drive my boat in water like that. The guy I was with has his inland pilots license for boats up to 100 tons or something like that. I learned a lot that day. If there is no forecast for wind, I would do it in a heartbeat. I may do it again this year, frankly the weather may be the deciding factor.
                              Be excellent to one another.
