You guys should plan this event 2 weeks earlier for 2018! I would totally be coming. Just with work and school it doesn't work.

Im contributing another service voucher this year and after much hemming and hawing about who's the best trailer backing driver, Black Widow and I are having our debate settled via some orange cones, a single axel, dual axel and triple axel trailers. Post debate, we will host an open competition utilizing the same course. The event will be timed and points docked for cone contact, cursing and the mention of divorce. This event will be held impromptu in the evening when we feel like it. Other drivers will be on hand to give their two cents and laugh at your failures but there will be a decisive victory by applause. A trophy will be awarded with hopes this tradition continues among the west coast Tige owners' community in future years.

      Rules for trailer backing competition:
      Entrants:
      - Must use a vehicle and trailer, your own or one made available to you if you did not bring one.
      - Must be a legally licensed driver in the United States
      - Will all start the course in the same spot and determine their finish when the vehicle and trailer are stopped, the vehicle is in park and the engine is off.

We've been talking about this for awhile and it's finally time. I look forward to seeing you all again!!

Sounds like fun. Does the boat have to be on the trailer?

I am not attending, maybe one of these years if someone would have room on their rig as it it way to far to bring our boat.

I am however curious. If this is taking place at random in the evening, do the contestants have to be sober? If so, you may have very few contestants. Maybe you should add that they have to have a beverage in hand through part of the course...then again, I am sure people would like all the trailers to remain in one piece.

If there is any chance of someone taking a video of this and sharing it on TO following the event, that would be FANTASTIC! Sounds like fun.

I deliberately left that out but there are no sobriety requirements except that spectators remain at a safe distance of 50' or more.

That's pretty good. I think our back up contest should include a 90* turn as it seems a lot of ramps require a tight turn.

There will be an angled tight parking spot, a straight back up like the video team Allen posted and a multiple S curve.

Nice event. I always thought we needed a few friendly competition events.

                        3. Competitions- Ok so I have been kicking this idea around for a while now and spoke with DP last weekend. Here is layout:
                        Competition "Rules":
                        A. Judges will be contacted and asked to keep their role as a judge silent. (if they wish to participate, its all for fun)
                        B. Judging will begin at the start of the event and will last until the event dinner on Saturday Evening when the winners will be recognized.
                        C. This is all for fun, and small prizes will be given to each winner as consolation for winning.
                        D. There will be no notification if you are being judged, if a silent judge walks by and you are best or worst for a specific award you could be a winner!
                        E. All prizes are TBD at this time and dependent on sponsors. However Prizes are likely to be in good spirit with the name of the award see (I.E for prize examples)

                        E. Dock Star- The best/worst Slip parking. (I.E. buoys/dock lines)

                        4. General Event Timeline- Still way to soon to post this but I am dusting off the one for last year and will have something out in the coming months.

                        5. Room Cancellations- PLEASE if you have a room or multiple rooms and need to cancel, PLEASE let myself of DP Powell know so that we can ensure those on the Event Waiting list can grab the room.

Keep checking the Facebook/Instagram Page we still have sponsors trickling in.

Thanks for your feedback. We receive many recommendations on the event (location, time of the year, dinner, raffle prizes, etc), and take all of them into consideration. With that said, the timing of this years event (and previous years) seems to work the best as there are many other events taking place around the same time. We are trying to avoid potential scheduling conflicts with sponsors (i.e. http://www.surfexpo.com/ and the Nautique Reunion in Parker, AZ) and the sponsoring Dealer (http://www.germainemarine.com/) while still getting warm, glass like conditions at Temple Bar. It's a juggling act all the way around, but so far it seems to be working. We have once again sold out the Inn at Temple Bar and have people bringing in their RVs and Tents. Who knows though, maybe the stars and calendar will align just right for you next year.

You guys should also be sharing this info on the Tigeowners facebook page. Lots of owners there that are not in a position to attend the event, but still spreading the word of tige.

Also, seems to me that the events longest running sponsor is missing. Does he need to send a formal notice of intent
