Touch2 Ballast setting, fill and drain time?

    Hey guys.
Im still exploring my '16 RZR haha and was wondering what is the ballast setting in the setting menu? You can change time to fill and drain each sacs but it seems when i put them shorter they dont fill completely and now my 2 rear bags dont drain all the way. I pressed the reset button on the side but the time aint changing.. i will play more with it tomorow maybe my drain time is still too short.
Just wondering what is the use of this setting lol?

It's to calibrate the system. You time how long it takes to fill and drain each individual bag and then set the timer for that amount. That's how it knows what percentage your at. Say port bag takes 9 minutes to fill completely to 100%. You want bag at 50% so fill pump will run 4 minutes 30 seconds.

The timers will get you close, but are not perfect. As a perfectionist who spent a lot of time trying to dial the timers to within a few seconds, I've just had to accept perfect is not possible. Lots of factors, like boat moving, boat running, airpocket in lines, etc. affect fill times. Use the fill to get close and then tune to your optimum wave. As far as empty, sometimes the angle of the boat will affect. I always tap the "Empty All" button one or twice on the way back in.

I do take a photo of my settings everytime the boat goes in for something because if the dealer reflashes the TT@ you lose your custom times.

This is exactly correct. Some people believe impeller pumps can be 100% accurate, but even that's not true. All of the factors you named, and more, conspire against using time as an accurate way to track water flow in ballast lines. If you insist on measuring ballast (as opposed to measuring the hull's actual relationship with the water, which is what really matters) there are solutions out there. The well known ones either don't work well, are expensive, or both.

But there are other solutions that both work and are affordable. We are working with boat companies on a couple of approaches. More when we're allowed to reveal it....

Thanks guys! All true I played with it a lot yesterday i am kind of a perfectionist too haha and all understand how it works. I drained all at 0 and fill them one at a time Fully with a chronometer. Done the same on draining. I put 10sec more on the Timer to be sure they are all Fully filled and drained due to any change like people in the boat and everything. Since i did that its perfect! I always press the Empty button 2 Times too. After I "empty all" I empty them a second time separatly with a person where the ballast is to make little incline and drained them fully.
