The last day we had rain all night and in the morning. We saw these awesome waterfalls ranging from 50 feet to 400 feet. It was worth the rain. That housboat in the picture, parked in the wrong place. It was getting all the water from the waterfall

awesome pics Moki. You never want rain to wet you down on the lake, but if does come, Powell after the rain is one of greatest places to be. I have been there and had similar experiences a few times. People I have been with have been stressed out and worried about wind. I have always just stated that they should wait and see. I always look up before we pick a houseboat spot and make sure everything is anchored well, it makes a big rain a much better experience. Do you have pics from the rest of your trip. I was supposed to be down last week as well and things fell through. It looked like the weather was great until about monday. All I got out of the good weather was a quick trip up to Willard (mud bay). Water temp still about 64.

Oops on the other pic question, I forgot the ones on the previous page.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

                OWN,

The rest of the trip was great! We did have a microburst come through on Monday night on the way back to our houseboat. We found a protected canyon to hang out in until the wind passed. We did the same thing with the houseboat. We tied it down with three ropes on the windward side, I think it would have been blown sideways had we not. The water temperature is still in the 70s, not quite cold enough to wear wetsuits yet. It's amazing how fast storms can blow in and then be gone and sunny. This picture was taken 1 hour after the storm. Hope you had a good time at Willard - up in the snow one weekend, down at the lake the other. You gotta love Fall.
