I pulled up the carpet, and used a wire brush drill bit to remove the remaining old adhesive. Then put down the Behr Deckover product from Home Depot. I took a swatch of the to SeaDek to Home Depot and matched it up with the closest color that they offered, which happened to be the darkest color that offer. This is what it looked like before I put the SeaDek down.

I have deckadence in my boat and it is awesome....easy to clean, soft on feet, dries super fast and I could not be happier (if you drop a dry towel on floor after boating a few hours and have a small amount of water in cabin....towel will get wet with Sea Deck and will not with Deckadence. I have the SeaDeck on swim platform and walk thru. Boat is a 2014....the deckadence is still in perfect condition, the Sea Deck (and boat was purchased brand new in March of 2015 as leftover....so only 2 season on it), anyway it is starting to chip, small tears in place and starting to fade. I thinkthe deckadence will outlast Sea Deck or Gator Step by double or triple.
No comparison in my opinion. No adhesive so if ever replaced, that is also super easy. Having person experience with it, I would never choose anything else in my boat.
Dont get me wrong, LOVE the look of the Sea Deck, its just obvious that it will not last as long and is a lot more work to maintain

This is awesome. I have a 2006 20V and I'm putting Gatorstep in my boat. Could you take a few photos of the panels below your seat? I'm currious how that template looked. Also, did you send them one large template or each piece individually cut out and marked? And now that you've had the material on the boat for a while, how is it sticking down? Any issues with pealing up? I'm debating the Behr product you mentioned or gel coat. Is the Behr product a roll on out of a can? Thanks!! Looks awesome!
