    Engine shuts off question

I have a strange problem. When we were tubing yesterday I would slam the boat into neutral and the engine would die. It doesn't happen when I surf because I gently go into neutral. Could this be a inertia switch, or maybe starving the fuel pump for a second when the gas isn't full or? Any ideas? Thanks guys!

I wonder if you IAC motor is having trouble adjusting quickly. This could be due to dirt. I'd look in the intake and clean it all out. This is at least a good place to start and will only cost a can of brake clean.
