PTM Edge ZXR Bracket Help

Hello - I just purchased a 2013 RZ2 with a PTM ZXR bracket and the VR140 bracket. I love the mirror, but cannot get the locking mechanism to work. The bracket has two knobs on the back, the top knob adjusts the position of the mirror itself on a ball joint. The 2nd knob (as I understand it) is supposed to engage an internal locking cam that will allow the mirror to lock in place. I have unscrewed it, and played with it and it does not appear to have any impact on the bracket function. The mirror will fold down (with resistance) and fold back up (with resistance). It will hold when folded up, but it will not hold in the full extension position. I can push it all the way up, but it will rotate down about an inch, making it too low for me to see behind the boat.

Any help would be appreciated.

Call ptm edge they may exchange it for you. Our bracket locked up and the knob was almost impossible to turn and even though it was three years old they sent me a knew one. They just wanted me to send them the old one.

Thanks for the information. I contacted PTM and they are sending me an RMA to take a look at the bracket.
