Drip management on classic vintage Tige engine compartment

Ok....since my kids like to jump in the lake and then bring it back into the boat and the classic vintage v drives tend to funnel all the water right onto the serpentine belt and alternator, I decided enough was enough.

Went and bought a $4 piece of gutter cover from Lowes and I think have solved the problem.

If this one needs to be replaced I'm going 3" wider on each side.

    Water trials go tomorrow

I was thinking about making one out of wood. Then I decided on aluminum with bends in the right spot and then I bumbled on a piece of plastic with exactly the right shape. I have high hopes on this.
