Just before I bought my 21v the previous owner had new upolstry put in the boat, now the seat back panel in the rear corner is a bit loose and rattles. Anyone know how to access the nut on the back of the seat to tighten it up? I tried coming up from the bottom but the space between the hull and swayback is very tight.

If you sit in the ballast locker can you reach down the side and get it? Just was on my port side running new electrical for stereo/amp power leads I know it's tight as beck. Also I thought the cushions were held in by screws. Let me know what you find and how...have the same boat.

Is it a Riders Edition interior or Limited? Not sure if it makes much difference but it might. I'm not sure if that particular panel is bolted from the back or screwed in from the front. My buddy's '01 has a couple loose panels as well. It sounds like there is hardware on the back when they are jiggled. Just haven't got so far as to dig around back behind them yet. I figure I'll be doing plenty of misc work on it this coming winter so...
If any of you 21v owners have insight on the panels, hook us up. Bolt types, counts, locations, what not.
I'm looking for info on limited interiors personally. Particularly the bow side panels.You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Are you sure there's a nut to reach? From what I've found on mine... Different boat I know, but all my seat back panels are screwed in, not bolted with threaded studs.. Run your fingers through the creases and I bet your find screw heads. They're in deep and hard to see, but they should be there

It is a 22v Riders Edition, and definitely a stud/bolt that is coming out of the back of the seat, I can see the threads when I pull the seatback away. Getting access behind the panel to put a wrench on it is about impossible. I am thinking I am going to have to take off the seat panel in front of it and approach it from the side. I probably won't get to it until next weekend, but will post some pics.

Just to close the loop on this, the panel them at I needed to tighten was on the driverside in the rear corner. I had to remove the side panel around the gear shift, then remove each panel until I got to the loose panel. I tightened up the nut and started to put it back together. Very simple, but it would have been easier if I was double jointed.
