Okay so had the boat out for the week on Powell and everything went really well until the last day on the way back to bullfrog.
We were cruising at about 36mph and realized that our buddy was no where in sight so we stopped and waited and waited. When we realized he may need help we throttled up and headed back to find him about a half mile back he was cruising toward us (he had stopped to fix a Bimini). When we saw him we whipped around at about 30mph in a tight turn to get behind him ( the turn felt sweet and reportedly looked sweet as well). But as soon as we came out of the turn the boat started to act like we were out of gas. The fuel gauge went to E and it was having trouble getting any power. I took it to neutral and waited for a couple of minutes as the engine quickly returned to normal sounds but when I tried to get up to speed the boat would cough and act like we were out of fuel. We were able to limp back to the marina at 9-11 mph and 2100 rpm. We let the boat rest all night and went to trailer it this morning and the problem persisted. I am back home and wondering where to start. Any ideas? Is is fuel filter? Could I have jacked something on the turn? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
