What you experienced is perfectly predictable. You had nearly 2K in water ballast in the back and maybe 400 lbs up front. I dont care if its a Malibu, MC, Supra, CC or Centurion. These boats just wont plane out with that ratio. In reality, these types of boats have a hull that learns more to the displacement hull of a cruiser, then a planing hull of a typical bow rider.
