I am considering replacing my Z tower with something different. The options I "think" I have whittled down to are both Samson towers - Blade or the Switchblade. I like the Blade better but am concerned about the mounting points not being structurally strong enough and thus needing a tower with the 4 point mounting. This is why the Switchblade is the second option. It appears to be almost a plug and play type scenario given that the Z and the Switchblade are very similar in design. I have to raise and lower the tower after every use and the Z is not cutting it. With either tower, is this something that I should have done at a dealer or is this type of project ok to do for someone with mechanical savvy? Please let me know your thoughts. I'm pretty much a newbie with wake boats and am trying to learn the ropes.boat.jpg

I have not thought that far ahead yet. I will have no use for it, so i guess it will go on the market. It may be a month or two before I make the change. I just bought the boat 2 months ago and not sure I want to have the down time right in the middle of the summer. Knowing how I am though, I might not be able to wait that long to upgrade.Comment
