Broken Racks

We are cruising across the lake, light chop and the rack on the left side of boat breaks off and flies into lake, board and all(only one board on it). The small bolts holding pivot rack broke right off. Three hours later we are stopped for lunch and come out to boat only to find the other side fell off while we were docked (two boards on this one) and floated down the river. The bolts were still in bracket but stripped out of tower support. I am very happy with my boat (2006 20V) but I paid $1400 bucks for the two racks and new supports because the one that came on my boat would not allow the racks to mount to it. We like the fact that they swivel to get boards and when we store boat. But the racks are two month old !!! Will talk to dealer on monday hope they will replace. Any one else have same problem?

Same problem for quite a few people. Take it to the dealer to have replace under warranty. Longer bolts now being used although I don't know if that will correct the problem. I turned mine back in a went with a simple stationary (non-swivle) rack. Found out that standing on the side to put the board in was as simple as using the swivle....

Did you get your boards back?

Dealer has had my broken racks since May. Do a search and you will find a couple of threads on this. Mine were sent back to Tige in Texas to be welded and new bolts installed. They came in while I was out of Town last week, I hope to pick them up tomarrow or Wed.

Dealer sat on them for 6 weeks till I called the Rep. Had them sent to Tige, fixed, and sent right back.

Love the boat, Not impressed at all with the customer service after the sale from my dealer in NC. Mine is an 06 22Ve.

Yes Zacky I got all three boards back thank god or the day would have reall sucked
Talked to dealer and they are getting new racks they are now welding them.

Finaly got mine back yesturday, dealer has had them since the end of May.
