Will an ASR produce a wave that is as good as the RZX or Z3

I'm looking at a 2015 ASR with the AVX surf system with the goal of using it primarily as a surf boat in water that is approximately 10-12 feet deep. My question is will this boat produce a wave that is as good as the RZX or Z3? This boat has been discounted but is new and I like it but I see a number of reviews stating that it is a wakeboard boat and not a surf boat. The AVX surf system would lead me to believe its a surf boat, but I don't want to make a costly mistake and I can't determine its true surf ability on a demo. Thank you for any help

I've seen pics on here from member "loudelectronics" or such and he had a phenomenal wave behind an ASR. Might do some research on his post and perhaps he will chime in at some point. Most dealers aren't going to have the weight setup like his but at least do a test on it and spend lots of time testing it.

If you are looking at the white ASR at Sun Marine in Lake Havasu (also showing online in Ontario, CA),you might want to check that boat over in detail. It is advertised as having AVX, but it does NOT have the AVX system on it. Whoever owned it previously installed a couple of extra trim tabs (not Taps 3 either). Just a heads up if that's the boat you are considering.

        X2 definitely not AVX.

I would avoid the ASR and look for a Z3 or a RZX.

No it wont. Stock they where not comparable. If you put more money in to the asr it gets better but still not close to the rzx with the taps 3 on it.

Thank you to everyone on their responses. The boat is a 2015 ASR with AVX remote control surf package and Plug n play in the rear lockers. This boat is a demo and priced well below market price. I like the depth of the boat because it like an RZX but I can afford the RZX at this time but Im concerned that it won't produce the surf wave that Tige is famous for. The Z3 is a contender but I'm using it in salt water of South Florida and wanted a boat with deeper sides (gunnels). My last boat was a Centurion Enzo with the switchblade and it had a great wave with the right amount of weight. I think most newer boats can produce a wave with the right lean and weight, but I was trying to get an out the box boat with a great wave. I was curious if anyone was able to get the ASR to produce a pro sized wave with the push, I will check the forum for Loudelectronics to see if I can see his wave and how he got it. Thank you all again.

You may already be aware but I doubt it carries any warranty being a demo. Several have been bitten by this in the past. Make sure you have something in writing if you are expecting a warranty and you might even call Tige directly to confirm.
