    Beeping and rmp fluctuating.

Hooked up to the fake a lake and running water boat is running but every 30 seconds the alarm beeps. Rpm's fluctuate a little each time it beeps. Could that just be the depth finder? Never had one before. Temp is good.

My depth alarm is a constant tone...not sure about your tone. I would check voltage at batteries and battery gauge, which is alternator output when running. Batteries should be 12.5v and alternator should be 14v.

With engine running the voltage at the alternator and batteries should be the same, close to 14v. If they differ by more than a tenth of a volt or two, you have a connextion problem somewhere.

Great, thanks. I will check that, it has brand new batteries. We just got it back from having new head gaskets put in as well.

I meant 12.5v at batteries with engine off. I thought that was obvious.
