    Did I mess something up?

So I hit something with the prop on Saturday night. Sunday I went to put on my spare (I have only had the boat for 2 months)... The prop was hard to remove, but after reading several posts in here I resorted to heat and some heavy persuasion from a rubber mallet. The old prop finally came off. I put on the new prop, and went to the Ramos. When I backed it off the trailer it seemed fine, but I noticed a clicking when in gear, as I sped up the clicking stops, but at idle, in gear, the clicking is present.

After a few minutes of playing with the boat, it started to have a delay from when I would put it in gear to when it would engage. I decided to put it back on the trailer immediately. The boat was in the water maybe 15-20 minutes, most of the time in neutral or low speed, I did bring it up on top 2-3 times and pulled it back down pretty quickly.

When I pull it out of the water and removed the drain plug, I was surprised of how much water it had taken on in such a short amount of time. I am wondering if I some how loosened the seal on the drive shaft? Would that cause an issue with engaging as well? Thoughts? I have it at my local Tige' shop, but I am worried that I really messed something up....

I wonder if the shaft was bent in the right spot the through hull seal would vibrate making a clicking, it may also let a good amount of water in.
    Any one seen that before?

Sounds like the strut is bent, and likely the shaft too, putting the shaft out of alignment.
