I have 2013 RZ2 ballast settings at 100% bow 100% rear port(1100lbs fatsac) and rear starboard at 25%. Taps 3-4 speed around 11mph. The wave is pretty big but not a long pocket. Do I increase speed or add weight in the walkway?

we typically run front factory full, rear port hard tank and chp bag(you gots to get one of these) full, taps at either 3 or 4 and speed at 11.4 or 11.6. no weight on opposite side rear. wave is best with 3 on the port side. have never needed additional weight up front but find with only 3 going, an extra 300lbs would be nice along the seats in the back.
we are on a river. same basic hull. no vx or surf tabs.2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17

with my 2014 RZ2 (w/VX) and MLA big bags in the rear I run surf side in the front and back 100%, leave non surf side front and back at 0%, taps at 3 or 4 and run 10.2-11 all day long and that gives us about a 25' wave to ride. But water depth and how full the gas is plays a big part in these #'s as well.

I run full ballast up front both sides to sink the nose and all weight in port side, no weight in rear starboard.
works best with 3 on the port side and a driver. around here, we have one of the 3 sitting on the back deck and feet on the swim platform. do so at your own risk as it's illegal but we never see watercops on our stretch.
ever make it up this way, hollar. always looking to meet new peeps.2012 22ve.. RIP 4/17

2008 RZ2: I Run 400lbs of lead evenly up front and 1600lbs in the port rear locker and seat. 12mph really stretches the wave out nicely, but I'm not good enough at that speed yet, so I run around 11-11.5 & Taps at 4. Beginners I run about 10.5-10.8 Taps at 4.5-5If I'm not surfing, I'm making money to surf.
