What could be causing my limp mode?

I've changed the potentiometer behind the throttle.
I've checked my battery voltages - 13v on the battery that starts motor, 12.8 on the other 3 that run stereo
I've check for good connections on the knock sensors.

Any other ideas? I guess next step is to take it in and get code off engine. My problem is I'm 2 hours away for closest Tige dealer.

Not sure if we have the same setup, but...I had a limp mode problem a couple years back while at a family reunion back in WI. SkipperBuds squeezed me in and found that the mechanical linkage in the throttle assembly had a bit of "play" in it. This play caused problems with the computer. Basically, since the computer couldn't tell where the throttle was, it triggered the limp mode. The fix was to reprogram the limits of the computer to compensate for the slight play in the linkage. SkipperBuds said it was not an uncommon problem.

Which location did the fix? Do you have a contact?

Thanks for posting this! I am having the very same problem. Do you know how they reprogrammed the computer? Do you have the parameters they used or a contact at the shop I could call? Thanks in advance!

Here are the service notes on my invoice: "Hooked up the computer and puled the codes (Throttle control sensor range high). Removed the side panel and the shifter housing. Recalibrated the throttle position sensor. We found that the shifter has some play in it that can't be adjusted so we calibrated the sensor to the shifter. Hooked up the computer and confirmed proper readings."

That's all the details I have. I had it done in July of 2014 at SkipperBuds in Madison, WI. (608) 246-2628. My Work Order # is "877800 Retail". If I remember correctly, they made it sound like this was not an uncommon problem and that there was some kind of "tech bulletin" (not sure of exact terminology) from Tige how to fix it. $160. I have not had a problem since then, ~200 hours later. Good luck!
