Opinions wanted on new boat

New to this forum as I currently own a 2013 Malibu LSV. I have been in and around a lot of Z3's and am very impressed. I am currently looking at anew RZ2 with Taps 3 and was wondering what people's thoughts are about the RZ2. We primarily surf and none of us are pros. Thanks in advance.

RZ2 is considered one of the best boats Tige has ever made, and that's really saying something. A close friend has one and it's a sweet, sweet ride behind and inside the boat. He gets a great surf wave on both sides (he's regular, his wife is goofy, so they work both sides regularly). And that's without anything extreme in terms of ballast because they have three small children and have to preserve storage space that the nuttier folks amongst us (read: ME!) fill up with custom fat sacs.

As with any boat purchase, look around and take your time to get comfortable. But rest assured, you cannot go wrong with an RZ2. It's an incredible machine.

The RZ/Ve hull is one hell of a surf machine, but my opinion is based on a pre-TAPS3 listed boat. Have not seen this hull in real action with TAPS3 so I cant say how it does compared to listing it.

There's nothing wrong with my Wakestter, I rushed into buying it and there are just a few creature comfort things that bother me. Have had no issues with it at all and it performs great. Looking to get into a new boat and the new warranty is great as well. I water tested an R21 w/Taps 3 and was really impressed with it, transitions were far faster than my surf gate, but couldn't go down to 21' boat. Malibu and Tige have such a different wave and I. Have found I prefer the Tige wave.

image.jpg. Here's my 2014 rz2 with vx and we love it awesome boat very easy to drive and it makes awesome surf waves. I havnt got to play with a taps 3 rz2 yet so I can't compare. I'm still wondering if I should get a new boat or not simply because it works really well. Good luck.

Love my RZ2, 2013 w/VX. All my neighbours have Malibu's and they're all trying to get their wave better to match what the RZ2 will do. My personal opinion of their wave is its way too short and I feel I'm always surfing close to the platform vs the RZ2 where I can surf back 20-25'.

drive them all......... I wanted an Rz2 and didnt think I wanted anthing to do with a z3 until I drove one and surfed one. For me the decision was simple at that point but I would never had known had I not taken the time to ride in each boat on the line'

I drove an LSV and rally found the wave to be way to choose to the swim platform. I now own an RZ2 and I love it.

I would also suggest you go demo them all. I originally was leaning z3 for the wave. But ended up in a rz4. The z3 is def the better wave. But I like the look and feel of the rz4 much better.
