    Need Help Please

14Z3 6.0L running rough a little while after getting gas at the marina on our second day out this season. Motor ran fine first day and the second day filled up the boat. While surfing a little while later the exhaust seemed to be stuttering and then started to run rough. The exhaust sounds like it's stuttering and doesn't sound normal. Limped back to the dock and put some Seafoam in the tank. Next day went out and seemed to run better, but the stutter in the exhaust sound is still there. The port cat is significantly hotter than the starboard and don't remember it being that hot. All gauges reading normal, all fluids normal and no alarms either. Is it possible the fuel fouled a plug/s and that's what's causing the stutter sound? Is it possible the stutter sound is coming from a bad oxygen sensor? Ugh, wish I had a computer that I could hook up for the answer so I could fix it quicker. Thanks for the help gang.

Sounds to me like you've picked up some bad fuel.... Injectors could be partially restricted causing a lean condition which would cause both a stutter and higher cat temps. I would consider draining the tank, fresh fuel and a bottle or 2 of fuel system cleaner.

Thanks for the info. Thought the same thing so I changed the plugs (looked like they needed it) and put 2 bottles of cleaner in the fuel. Found fuel that didn't contain ethanol to top it off. Runs like a top today!
