Well got the boat and family all loaded up for the first run of the season. Get out to the lake put her in the water and she starts up just fine. Give it throttle and nothing but idle. Tranny and V drive both engager. I could idle around no problem but nothing. I tried turning off the engine and restarting several times and nothing.
From going dizzy reading other posts it sounds like a potentiometer issure behind the throttle assembly. I figure it has to be that or a burnt our motor in the throttle body.
Is there a way to test the potentiometer? If I pull the plug of wires off the throttle body, can I multimeter two of the contacts to see if I'm getting anything there at all?
The problem with all the posts about the "throttle sensor" or potentiometer (which I am assuming are the same thing) is I can't find one that talks about the issue being resolved.
Any help/advice would be appreciated!
