Looking for 2016 Z3, Tap3 surf settings. Confused by other posts.

I just bought a 2016 Z3. I am having problems getting a ride-able clean wave. I've read the other posts. They tend to jump around from year to year, boat to boat, cvx to taps etc. I read the manual (No help there).

My questions are as follows in order to get a clean ride-able surf wave on a 2016 Z3. FYI: I am a large(fat) guy. 230lbs, 5'8".

    1. Should left and right side ballast bags be set equal?

    2. Should the rears be 100% full?

    3. Should the fronts be 50% full.

    4. Should the speed be 11.4 ish

    5. What should taps 3 be?

    6. What should taps 2 be?

    7. Can you send pictures of the surf wake resulting from your setting suggestions?

Any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

It's a good start. The more people weight in the cabin or rear weight... the better it gets.

I've run the Taps 3 at 5 as well and didn't see a major difference between 1 and 5. Can't run my boat at the higher Taps 3 settings..... it's all wash with the high settings.

If you are running a small crew then forget about making a wave at faster speeds unless you are loaded up with weight.

I run 150 lbs of lead in each corner, and usually just two people in the boat right at 300lbs total in body weight in shallow water and the numbers for me are taps 3 at 5-6 taps 2 at 4-5 and speed at 10.6 ish with the rears full and the front at 40%.

As you can see above... Im on the brakes 15 feet back........... lots of push although the picture from whoever took it standing up inside the boat makes it look a little flat it wasnt...... nice shape. If I load the boat up with 4-5 more people and get into water deeper then 10 feet the wave gets unreal, its great here but... like I said load it up and get deep and whoa...

For me the only draw back so far between taps 3 and avx is its performance in shallow water... the avx just beats its *** up and down the street, taps 3 is much much more sensitive to depth.
