No Taps & Sub ?'s 1999 21V Riders Edition

I just bought a 99 21V Riders Edition, it has been in storage for 2 years and has 350 hours on it. When I hit the Taps switch nothing happens; no noise, plate and gauge don't move. Any thoughts or things to check?

Also I thinking about adding an IB Sub under the helm, without a box. Anyone have experience with this?

TAPs could be fuse, taps relay, wire to the switch in the handle. I cant remember which relay a 99 has. Take a picture/ look under the helm. Should either be a 2.5"x3" small black box with about 6 -8 wire going into it or it will be 2 small black relays.

Thanks for the advise... Here is where I am: I found the 4 wires coming out the the Taps system in the back (yellow, green, blue, and black) and then found them under the helm. Yellow, Green and Blue are cut, and I can't find where that should go. I also found the white wire coming out of the switch with tiny red, white, and black wires coming out of the white... Also cut. I can find where these wires should marry up to anything. somewhere the switch needs to connect to the Taps system.

Sounds like your missing the relay box under the helm. The yellow, green, blue and the tiny red black white wires should be going to it. There should be a Black and Red wire under the helm as well same size as the other 3 wires, (positive and negative).
