    Underwater LED RGB Lights

I recently added 2 Lumitech SeaBlazeX Spectrum LED RGBW underwater lights. (3000 lumens each)
The lights required more power than the stock harness could deliver. When both lights were hooked up to the stock harness they would shut off after less than a second. When I only hooked up one light, it worked perfectly. To fix this problem I wired in a relay so when the lights are turned on in the Tige Touch it closes the relay providing power to the lights directly from the battery. here are a few photos of the install. These lights are crazy bright and cycle through every color. To select a color you simply flip the light off and then back on.

I had a pair of the Abyss lights on my old boat. They were bright as all getout when on the ramp, but in the water it was frankly disappointing unless it was very dark, and then they finally lit up the water some. Mine were the lower lumen output, but I got them for super cheap, and sort of got what I paid for.

Trying to take pictures of these in the water sometimes takes a degree in photography, but I would love to see them in action in the water to see how well they light up the water. 3000 lumens is a lot, but it seems that there really isn't anyone calling them out if they do not meet the amount that they say they do.
      Be excellent to one another.

Dr, did they fit the exisiting mounting holes from the stock lumitechs? or did you have to fill and re drill using new templates?

My boat did not have any underwater lights from the factory. So the holes were NEW.

I don know if the software requires an update Dr, but I know my 16 with the factory lights has an H20 water switch in the lighting menu... once on if you hit the on again it changes color... does your TT have that option? Or are you hard wired in?

OMG...these are awesome!! What a great idea about installing a relay.

Yes I had the dealer turn the feature on in Tige Touch. The problem was that my aftermarket lights are brighter and needed more power. By wiring through a relay I am still able to use the TT to turn the lights on and off but also give them more power. So now when I turn the H20 switch on in TT it simply turns the relay on which then sends power to the lights directly from the battery.

Just a couple things to point out here. These lights a 2 wire multi-color light with the controller built into the light house. One down side to these i have heard about, is that they can get slightly out of sync timing wise. You may see one lagging a second behind the other.

Wiring wise, if you go with a more traditional RGB that uses an external controller, your light's 4 wires would wire to the controller and then you would use the relay between the TT output and controller's B+.

                        NICE!!!!

With that wiring, it looks like you can't use an RGB controller, even if you wanted to, right?

Yes, their controller is built in. It uses a programmed order of button pushes to cycle through. Better than a dual color light but not quite the RGB flexibility that you can get with an external RGB controller.

I was thinking the same thing. A RGB under water LED light would be legit and a guy could possibly sync it up with existing RGB LED speakers if equipped. The thing is the SeaBlaze is 3,000 lumens and draws 5amps per light, i'm going to do some googling but i'm not sure if a person is going to find a similar set up with that much pwr.

                              This is already solved https://wetsounds.com/pages/products/WS-4Z-RGB.html

4 zone music controller that will drive some high output leds

I would not get to wrapped up on advertised lumens.
