Boat with new drive shaft won't go in gear after 2 times out...

So here is the story, last year at Lake Powell I ran over a sand bar and destroyed my prop and after 8 weeks at the Tige dealer they replaced the prop and the drive shaft. I went out once last October before the end of season and everything worked fine, went out once last week and again no problems. Today we went out and after about an hour I noticed the boat had a slight vibration again, so we went in, upon dropping my friend at the dock to grab the trailer I put the boat into reverse to pull away from the dock and heard a horrible noise that sounded like something locking up, the engine alarm went off and I turned the boat off, when I turned it back on it wouldn't go into forward either, luckily we were able to walk the boat onto the trailer.

My question is could this be related to the new drive shaft that was installed last October or is it something far worse? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks!

I would say you need your transmission rebuilt. Could also be the v drive if you have one.

It could be they messed something up or you damages more than you think in the previous incident.
