Wrap or No Wrap, Is this a good deal? It is time for a face lift.

This is the season for a face lift on our 2000 21V. The upholstery is being done in light grey, red, with some black. Stock tower is going, not sure what is replacing it yet, considering an Indy tower in black.
A local shop is quoting me a price for a simple wrap to help change the boat's colors. I am starting with

He gave me estimates of about $1500-1600 for something like this:

    tige wrap 14.jpg

    And about $2100 for:

    tige wrap 9.jpg

Can anyone tell me if these are reasonable estimates? It includes removal of old decals.

Another option I have considered is to do it myself. I just don't know if I would save that much going that direction.

Thanks In advance for any advise.

I personally like most expensive option, really looks more modern.
If I'm not surfing, I'm making money to surf.

I agree. It is the one I am leaning toward. Just have no idea how good the price is or if it is even reasonable to try and do it myself.

      thanks for the reply

No tribal stuff. That hasn't been popular in like 7 years. Color combos look great!

Does anyone know what year Tige used the decal on the last option?

Looks like the 05/06 stuff - our '05 looked just like that only with the blue instead of red. Same graphics.

Check with Chris at Tige Watersports in Corona. They use to have some of those tribal decals.

Why would he charge more for two different wraps with the same picture printed on the vinyl?

I bet the seller is thinking the top one would be just a red sticker and the white area would continue to be native gelcoat. The bottom one would require a full wrap with black and red.

I would go naked this year, and then do the graphics next if clean white did not suit you. I am a fan of a clean white boat that is well cared for.
                      Be excellent to one another.

I agree I wouldn't wrap either, I would get the large chromax tige letters and try and find a newer graphic sticker that would work. That would be way cheaper and look nice. my

FYI Black is a royal PITA to keep clean.

My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

That seems on the high side. Especially if you are considering the top one. There are probably several local places that would do custom graphics, I remember I did a custom on my baja and it was like a couple hundred bucks installed. There's also sites out there that let you design what you want and then will print it for you. Taking off your current stickers is pretty easy and putting new ones on is not as easy but doable if you watch a few youtube vids on how best to do it.
