I have found this ballast bag in my old boat. I think it may have come from a factory Tige setup, but am not sure. And I need some help with one of the fittings that is broken off.
The sack is about 103 inches long, 24 inches wide, and the rear portion rises up and is 36 inches long of the 103 inches in length. The 'tongue' is about 12 inches deep and the main bag section is about 24 inches deep. It has a whole host of ports on it with 1 inch barbed fittings. There are 2 of them on the bottom of the sack, not just on the bottom of the side like most, but literally on the side of the bottom. There is another on the side and another on the top. And yet another on the forward part of the tongue.
If that bag seems familiar, please let me know what it is.
Second question, is how to fix the front vent. It has broken off and it is obvious that the original fittings are glued in with superglue or some other type of unbreakable adhesive. I cannot get the broken fitting to budge. For fun, I twisted pretty hard on the non-broken fittings and they did not budge either. I tried cutting out a small section and breaking it out, but the !@#$%* thing broke off above the threads of the sack. Any idea what to do with that? This post is also partly a self serving ploy because the sack will be for sale. But I would like to know exactly what I am selling first if possible, and it would be nice to know what it is.
There are also some attachment points glued onto the sack to be able to run a rope through. I think these are meant to keep it upright in some fashion. It is on the port side of the sack, so I think it is a stock Tige sack that belongs on the port side. You can see what is not a discharge port in one of the pictures.
