    2015 Z3 for sale cheap?

I'm looking at a 2015 Z3 for sale. It's got 0 hours. The guy bought and never took it out lol.. He wants $78k. The ad is not on the internet. I found it on a private law associates message board at a firm I deal with.

Maybe you can tell me if it's a good deal. My freinds are saying re-sale might not be so good since it's not a gate boat...hmm

Personally I don't want anything to do with 'gates' or taps 3. I like the gph Rag got with his AVX since dock gas' is ridiculously expensive

I do have some leverage. I'm a cash buyer and the boat has been for sale for quite some time ( 5 months ) If I got it for 75 or 76 I think that might be a pretty good deal...? Seems like the world has gone 'surf gate' crazy..but folks like Duffy are telling me they kinda suck compared to properly weighted boats waves

    Boat has>

    AVX,
    0 hours
Surf XL ballast (not sure how much that is)
    bimini
    RAPTOR engine.
    stock stereo
custom coated trailer for salt water

the color scheme is actually really nice. pics show a virgin clean showroom boat..it's def' bsn'

Should I pull the trigger? Decent investment lol? I could put 200 hours on it and come close to getting most of my $$ back?

    thanks

It would certainly turn some heads up there. I suppose your main concern is resale if need be? Well, Tahoe finds are usually extra nice. Low hours, clean and already propped for high altitude. Great place to look for the right boat. Big fancy Tiges out of Tahoe are pretty rare and would certainly stand out in a pack of Tweeks, Bu's, and MCs. Lack of dealer in the area kinda sucks. What's the closest? ASFB? Someone outa Sac would drive up there to buy it any day. Ya, I bet you could sell it if you had to.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

not sure where the dealer is. I think there's one in the valley. I'll have to check on that

75 would be a good price on that boat being it was 85-90K new from a dealer and even more at some dealers. The nice thing about that 15 is it has the TT2 and can be retrofitted to Taps 3 if wanted so would appeal to a wide variety of buyers if sold later on. Being a cash buyer and the guy probably just wants out I'd offer less.

Mine was an early 15 VX and I love it. 4 ppl in the boat and my wave is incredible IMO.

        Surf Xl should be 3500Lbs

I have an early 2015 Z3 with AVX and love it. I paid about 15k more than that in the spring of 15. Sounds like you have a good deal siting in front of you, as long as the boat doesn't have any hidden problems.

As for AVX i love it. None of the people i surf with change sides while surfing so no taps3 needed for us. We do adjust the wave with AVX for different riders. As for regular vs goofy riders it only takes us about 5min. To swap sides. Normally done while last rider is getting out of the water and before the next rider is ready.

If it is not allready set up with cross vent and drain you will want to have that done.

If you decide to not make the purchase, you could post a link to it in the for sale thread with the current owners permission. That could help out the seller and help out some posibly find a good deal.

I would have to agree with this statement as well. I have not been impressed with the Taps3 - I really do not like the cut in the face of the wave. For the record, the only Z3 Taps3 I rode was stock weight and it did NOT produce what we were looking for. I will say the RZX is crazy good with the Taps3.

In my opinion, there are going to be "surf gate" people and then the "competition wave" people. Z3 AVX is competition wave and that is what we wanted - not to mention the adjustability.

Like most say before they buy a boat - we road quite a few boats just to make sure. To us, the Z3 AVX produced one of the best waves out there - again IMHO.

I would say its a good deal if it is on the up and up? I would be cautious of a brand new boat that never got used once though. I have surfed many of the new boats before many other people have and all of Ragboys boats many times stock and modded. The Tige Z3 with AVX makes a great wave and is still one of my favorites. The newer gate boats are becoming very good but are just different. If it is a straight up deal I don't think you will be disappointed with it at all. Good luck

Also CMS is not the dealer anymore and the new dealership is farther southwest from you so service may be something to consider. I don't know much about the new dealership either.

turns out the boat has 10 hours on it.

Owner says he personally has put a few hours on it and his test cruise with the dealer runs did result in 10 hours.

I noticed the boat has no tower speakers. Don't these boats come stock with something up there?

Just found a dealer fairly close>

                  * ASFB Marine in Sacramento.
                  76 miles away.

They've got 11 new TIGEs' on the lot..besides the other boats..like fishing boats and stuff

the boat is on the east coast.... Shipping might be alot...

I think I'll offer him 78 and he takes care of the shipping. Sound good?

Nope. YOU want to control shipping. You don't want him lowballing shipping in a way that could risk your $78K investment.

We shipped our new boat from Florida to Washington State, almost as far as possible within the contiguous 48, and it cost about $3K. That was with the boat on its trailer, and the whole assembly then on top of a flatbed trailer so our new trailer didn't instantly have 3K miles on it and the hull wasn't exposed to 3K miles of road rash.

Why not discuss all of this with the seller, and instead of full price and he handles shipping, offer him ~$75K? It's the same net proceeds to him, and allows you to control who takes care of your new baby on its long journey.

They call the tower speaker options "tower of power". It starts with two speakers 8" or 10" and then you can upgrade to another set for added cost. I believe the base stereo is just 6 in boats now. I believe the sup option is separate add on too outside of other audio packages. The tower may be prewired. This is all from memory, someone else may have more concrete information.

damn. no tunes yikes. So I do get inboat speakers stock? Decent tunes is gonna co$t but you gotta have 'em. What's another couple grand to start building a system. A good system would help sell it (eventually)

Ok I guess I'd handle shipping. Find a quality shipper and give the same offer

I am currently looking closer to home for Z3's. The color combo of Z3 is pretty close to what I was thinking this time around. It's 3 colors but 2 dominant colors. I personally don't like some of the crazy color schemes I see on new TIGE boats. Especially ORANGE. What's the deal with fkn' orange boats???? Then tack on some black. Halloween themed boats..OMG. Why?? Yech!!!

Hell if it was up to me every boat would be blue and white. Just like the god of boats intended lol. But alas I too have tired of that combo.

I love red/white combos too. You don't see that too often. I see red/black and that...aaargh..I'm not a fan. Red/white with a little black is cool though

I saw a killer all black Z3 w/yellow accents. Now that was a good looking TIGE

I'm starting to figure out why the boat has not sold yet. No stereo and i'ts east coast for starters (limiting his buying pool)

Texas or Utah would be great. I could drive to UTAH if I have to..but I prefer no miles be put on the trailer...

Since the boat is already east coast, you get it sent to Chpthril and let him get your tunes on point.. Can be loaded on a flatbed from there and shipped to you. Mikes a good guy so he'd probably make sure everything looks legit for the cross country run... Problem solved
