I have an 03 20i and use it for mainly skiing. The wake at 15 off was ok but a bit hard, when I went to 22off I have had many problems. With the other boats I ski off of at 22off the wakes get smaller. On my 20i I am hitting right into some hard wash that creats a large bump to get over. I have tried to move the taps to 1/2 or 1 but it only gets worse. I am not looking forward to selling the Tige for a Malibu but I am in a panic. Does anyone have any reccomendations that I can use to make this boat perform better at shorter line lenghts?

I dont know the hull of your boat too well but with mine (97 Pre 2000 WT) the best wake for me at that lenght is having the Taps set between 3 and 4.
Also I have a 4 blade OJ 13x13 which made the wake a ton softer.
When you are skiing have your driver start at 1 and work it around for you, go over the wash and feel each setting untill if feels right.
The beauty of Taps is it can all be adjusted....unlike a Malibu or MC or a Nautique!!!

bfrank is right, if you have the TAPS too low, it will actually cause the the convex hull to plow, which causes a bigger wake. Trimming it out works pretty well. I'd experiment at the speeds while you're driving the boat to see how the different TAPS settings affect the wake. Remember, TAPS is a wakeshaping device designed to work with the convex V hull. I've found that on my boat ('99 21v) that I have to set the TAPS to 3 at 32 MPH for skiing and between 5 & 6 for wakeboarding at 19.5 MPH.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

When I pull a skier, I start with the Taps at 1, then try to move it around a bit as I get up to speed to help soften the wake.
I also found that having a passenger in the bow helps some too, as long as they aren't too heavy.
Play around with that as well."I want to know God's thoughts, the rest are just details"
