HELP PLEASE: 2013 z3 w/409 or 2013 z3 w/343 and convex vx.

I would get the one with the bigger engine. If you really want a convex vx there is one on eBay for a z1/z3 for 800 bucks or so right now.

If I bought one of these. Its my understanding that I would have to replace the swim deck as well. Is that correct? What surf tab system fit the z3? Does
"Go Surf Assist" work?

Platform would be the same. It be the brackets you would need. I would get the one with vx. Or buy used late 2014 or 15. You'll be much happier. Instead of modifying one of these save the money and get a newer model.

I found a loaded 2012 z3 w/200 hours, 409, pro ballast, 4 rev 10's, custom trailer, for 63k. It was too good of a deal to pass up. The interesting thing is my dealer told me not to get one with convex vx. He thinks taps 3 is the future, and really dogs on the avx. I might add aftermarket surf tabs in the future. I'm an average middle aged surfer, so this boat will be more than enough. Thanks for help!

Took out an R21 for a demo at the Kelowna Boat Show yesterday. Taps 3 was excellent and even the surf link remote worked flawlessly. My Z1 does not have a vx and it surfs really good. My next project will be to install surf tabs so I can run without listing - probably GSA.

Check out this tread and compare the two pictures in the thread to the transom of the boat your looking at. I don't know why this popped into my head when I read you decided on the 2012. There were only 14 of them build but it's worth checking out.
