Price Point Boat Wars? Moomba Helix

I stumbled upon this on another boat forum. It looks as if there is a new boat in the "Price Point Category"

Moomba recently announced their new Helix
    http://moomba.com/helix

I realize that Moomba is already the Skiers Choice price point line. Between the price point boat lines (moomba, Gekko, Supreme, Axis?), the MC NXT, Tige's R20,R21 & R22 there seem to be more boats entering the market that could be considered "affordable". Simpler interiors, less tech but hopefully still turning out great wakes/waves, these boats will hopefully keep the Wakeboats competitive with some of the new reverse drive i/o boats.

I think this will be a good thing.

I'm not usually a Moomba fan but that's a decent little boat there. Still hard to believe that I paid around that price for my RZ2 brand new.

I really like how Tige did the R series. By taking the exact mold they retained the same leverl of performance just with a much friendly price point for those who are looking to get into an entry level boat.

I'm a fan of skiers as it was my first boat and think they have a lot of good things going for them in the supra line, but if you really explore the moomba lineup, it's initial look is similar to the mondo, just a different front end and a tad wider. the msrp for the mondo is $57.9 with the helix $54.9 so it's not really breaking news in the budget boat market. it has less options available than the mondo so most dealers will show a cheaper floor price but it's going to be due to less tics available in the option boxes.
is impressive at 20.5ft and 4000lbs but still a 20ft boat.

would be interesting to see if it cuts into the r20/axis a20/nxt sales or if it snags buyers away from the mondo.

I'd guess next mondo rev goes bigger. Seems strange this was just like the mondo size wise.
