I'd go out on a limp and say they are either push in type plastic bolts or actually bolted in from behind. If there is a speaker/s in the side you may have to pull that and stick your arm back there. Be careful though. It's typically pretty rough fiberglass and can scratch the crap outta ya if it's a tight squeeze.

Do these seat backs have seams running horizontal or vertical through them? If so, spread the seams and run your fingers along the groove... Probably will run into some screws. That's how my '03 seat backs attach

I have a 1999 2200i (same boat) and, believe it or not, they are screwed in. You have to spread or pry the cushion in the middle (where the seem is) and feel around for the screw head. I used a 4 inch bit extension on my power driver to find the first one. Once the first is out, you can pry the seat off the boat and get a better feel where the next one is. Just be super careful not to strip the heads...if they're original, they're pretty old now!

^^^ I agree, My 24v has screws directly into the wall in the seam of the cushion. Be careful on the screws thy are stainless and strip easily.

yep....they are almost certainly screw in. I found mine by touch. Just run a screw driver along the seam until it feels like it hits something. Then, very carefully engage the head with the screw. Then be careful to not strip them on removal. When putting them back in, I would put new ones in. Really, not a big deal as long as you are careful

I had to do this to tighten the grab rails on my 98 2200v
