Can somebody measure the width of their 22ve?

Hi guys. Right now my boat is tucked away in storage so its a little difficult for me to get the measurement I need. This is whats going on.

I'm putting an offer in on a new house. I have a 2006 22ve and I want the boat to fit into the garage in said house. There are 2 single wide doors into a pretty large garage. They are 8' high and I know my boat folds down to 7'1" so I know I will have plenty of room with the height. The doors are 9' wide though. I know the boat trailer at the widest point (outside of fender to outside of fender) is exactly 8.5' wide. In theory the boat should fit.

Can someone who has a 22ve handy just take a peek at their boat and tell me if the sides of the boat extend past the outside of the fenders at all? I'm thinking the guide posts on the rear will extend out wider than this but they can be easily lifted off prior to backing into the garage. 3" of room on either side seems like I'm cutting it extremely close. Thoughts on this?

My 24ve is almost dead even with the trailer, just inside of the farthest point on the trailer. I had to measure for my garage that I am having built. I went with 10ft wide to be safe but the boat has a 102" beam.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

Every time I back my boat into my backyard I miss my house by 1/2" or so. It doesn't matter if you have mile or a mm. If it doesn't hit, it doesn't hit.

mine is in storage as well, but iirc, if you are over 8ft6 you have to get a special trailer permit in some states. the reason that, as thegerman mentioned, his is dead even with the trailer at the 8'6" dimension.
you might have to remove the guideposts each time. I know on my trailer(POS metalcraft), they do extend beyond the trailer/boat and are outside the max.

The beam on the 22Ve is 102", on mine the rub rails are slightly out farther than the fenders on the trailer, but trailers do vary on how they are built.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

I have a 9' door and it gets in with about a .5 inch on either side. Fits like a glove.

Lol, well I thought 3 inches on either side was cutting it close, now your making me really nervous!

Offer went in today, I guess if it doesnt fit I will have to bring out the sledge!

My RZ2 should be the same width as a 22ve. It fits through my 9x7 garage door but just barely. I do have to take the guide poles off the trailer and let some of the air out of the tires to get it in. Once i let some air out to get enough clearance at the top, the bulged tires actually rub the door frame a tiny bit on both sides as it goes in. Its a tight fit but it beats leaving it outside all winter.

taking the posts off is no biggie.

Thanks for the replies guys, sounds like it shouldn't be a problem.

I have the same size garage door and a 102 inch beam. I usually have to recruit my neighbor or whoever went boating with me to help me back it in as if is a tight fit! Just remember to take the guide posts off! Have fun! Also a trick we've learned is to get the tires right at the entrance of the door then unhitch and push it it, makes it a little easier to see and maneuver.

well, we negotiated an offer and it was accepted. Looks like my boat will have a nice cozy home to keep her out of the heat and cold.

I measured my 22i (102" beam) on a Magnum trailer and it measure 9'2" from guide post to guide post.
