Yea I am happy with my tower and the ability to adapt it for as many speakers and surf racks I want is a huge bonus. Still a little bummed I couldn't make the Alpha work. I guess if it ever comes time to upgrade in the future, I may be able to work something similar to an Alpha

I reckon the Alpha Z is cool looking but the Bimini sux big time. Weird shape, difficult to put up and harder to stow, low headroom (I'm 6'4) and worst of all.....it flaps around at slalom speed like my push bike did with playing cards sticking into the spokes circa 1974!!!! (Showing my age!). I love my Z1, but the Bimini on the Aplha Z is low rent IMHO.

Interesting. I have the Alpha Z on my 24Ve and have none of these bimini problems. Installs in a couple of minutes, removes with perhaps an extra 60 seconds, and no noise or flapping. Mine has six years and pushing 400 hours on it and I have no complaints. Granted I'm not 6-4 but I hit my head on those stupid speaker pods all the time, never the bimini (and I only have the two outside pods!).
Perhaps your bimini isn't installed properly? Tensioned with the velcro? I know several people that have the Alpha Z and I've never heard these complaints before.

I just got off the phone with the salvage yard, I was trying to buy the Rev10s only and was informed the boat has been sold! It was purchased by a local shop there in MA. Although she would not release which one to me. Careful to all MA. Residents pictures I saw of the boat had a hole roughly the size of a basketball in the stern (below water line). Make sure you do solid inspections of boats if planning to upgrade this year, and make sure it's a clean title cause that boat definitely has a salvaged title.
While I don't have the Alpha bimini obviously I have some experience with setting them up. When new they are stiff and tend to be a PItA when first getting them, but after a few hours they stretch and need to be readjusted. I would make sure you don't need a tension adjustment Bassman. Should be an click on the Bimini, just food for thought I guess. My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

Found it by accident as it where, I was looking for some parts for an older Tahiti Jet Boat and saw on the list of options Tige and found it. I am not sure these boats go into Salvage status enough to really find them, I mean I see mid 80's Malibu and Nautique boats that are still selling for 10K no problem. Which leads me to believe that a boat would need to be pretty well destroyed before you would find one just sitting in a salvage yard.My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"
