    New Tige Owner

    Hello all

Last month I picked up a really nice '05 22i. I was honestly not looking to trade up my the I/O that we had for less than a year but the deal was too good to pass up. I do have to give props to Steve and the crew at the Ski Dock in Austin. By far the best dealership experience I have ever had (boat, car, you name it).

My wife already is wanting tower speakers and racks. She is even wanting to try surfing and entertaining the idea of skiing. In addition my oldest wants to learn to slalom and eventually run a course

The guys are right, that is a very nice boat. You and your family will love it and sounds like you have some great times ahead.
I love to see that bump in the middle of the boat. Long live the DD!! (Direct Drive)

Nice boat and congrats! Yes love and miss my old DD but its like an ex you'll get over it eventually. You will love the wake behind that for slalom or any other sport the family desires.

Congrats on the boat. Long live the fire stick! Good on you for keeping slalom going. I taught my wife when we bought our boat and now she loves it more than any other thing behind the boat. Nowadays we usually have at least two or three slalom runs before we start surfing.

                          A couple of suggestions-

                          First off-

I'm sure I'll get roasted for this but, you don't need tower speakers. Nobody does. Keep your music in your boat. IMO, tower speakers are the most selfish thing ever created. "But I want to hear music when I ride!" To that I say . If you are behind the boat, you're getting to ride. Everyone else is patiently waiting their turn. Its kind of like a waiting room. We get to listen to music, you get to ride. Besides that, blasting music across the lake like that is the equivalent of the guy at the stop light next to you pumping bass like it's the last day bass will be allowed. Nobody likes that guy. I'd also be willing to bet you don't listen to the same music I do. Chances are you don't like my music. After having been annoyed countless times by music I don't like being blasted across the water, I'm not about to do that to everyone else on the lake. I might be an A-hole but at least I'm not a selfish A-hole. Take the money you'd spent on tower speakers and...

                          Next-

Buy an FAE. Best upgrade ever. If you're going to surf at all, it's a must. It's the first thing you should buy. Don't think about it. Just do it.

                          Third-

Use chpthril (Mikes Liquid Audio) for all your stereo and ballast needs. He is the man. What he lacks in fancy website, he more than makes up for in knowledge and customer service. He has helped countless members on here and I always look forward to giving him money for stuff. I know I'll get the best advice and service a human can give. He rocks.

You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Sounds like NickyPoo has some reservations about a sound system.
My dad always told me if its to loud your too old.
