Anyone Have Experience With This Traction Pad?

Found this marine eva non-skid material that agenda sells.. Thinking about putting it on the walk through steps and maybe some other random spots on the boat, maybe the gunwales the way they do with the seadek on the newer boats... They offer a 6mm that they call firm and a 5mm that they call soft.. Anybody actually felt any of this stuff to know which would be better for my type of use?

I have not had any experience with Agenda Surf or their products first off. But if you are looking to put some non-skid material down on your boat I would give the guys at Gator Step a call, gatorstep.com. They have some of the best materials around and have a variety of color options, they have the ability to do fully customizable designs to fit your needs. I have some buddies that have taken the logos from their companies and had that design done in gator step on their swim steps and in the inside of their boat. If you are looking to put some non-skid in your boat I would definitely give these guys a shout before you pull the trigger on anything else. This is the same company that is designing the the non-skid flooring for Tige that you can see in all the 2016 boats. gator step.jpgIMG_0736.jpg

I run the soft Agenda on my skimmer and love it. Great traction and easy on the feet.

ryfrutiger.. I like the looks of the gator step a lot and have been to their website before.. Best I can tell it's a lot like the teak seadek wherein you have to cut templates and send off for them to cut it and ship it. And I'm assuming that like the seadek, it's costly. The agenda stuff comes in a bunch of colors and texture patterns and you can get a 4' x 7' sheet for about $120 plus shipping. I can then cut all the different pieces I want.

Nickypoo... Have you noticed any wear from use on the soft product? I think I would like it more then the firm for the foot comfort, but since it's gonna be on the steps, it'll get a lot of traffic. I'm worried about the ridges softening up or maybe even wearing/flaking off

This is my first set of Agenda and it hasn't seen a ton of use but it looks and feels brand new. There's not one single spot of wear on it. Even the little tiny sections you would normally expect to get ripped off from normal use still look brand new. This board has probably close to 50 rides it.

Those are good close ups... Looks like you've got about all the textures they offer.. Any particular one you like on your feet more than the others?

The little squares are probably the softest but it's slightly softer at best. The diamonds are probably a bit grippier. The bars are very soft as well.

I've emailed the company to see if they have samples available to be able to feel the difference between the soft and firm products, I'm leaning towards soft thanks to your reports... Thank you very much

i need to do some grip on my back of my boat too, so keep us updated how this goes. The walkthrough on my boat gets slippery when she is slammed and wet.

Agenda is made by Hydroturf. www.hydroturf.com

Hydroturf and Seadeck are two of the larger marine eva sheet suppliers in the US. Most of the raw eva comes from overseas. Both have ventured into the surf market at times. Xtrak is seadeck's surf brand.

Gatorstep is very similar to seadeck in their offerings. They do a lot of cool custom cnc work.

Nickypoo, your rear stomp pad is an Astrodeck pad. Not and agenda pad. Completely different companies. Astrodeck is one of the oldest US surf traction companies if not the oldest one still in operation.
The market was at one point only Astrodeck in the US and Gorilla Grip out of Australia.

I'll be damned Nick, you're 100% right. I just assumed it was Agenda. I didn't buy it or put it on. I got that whole set up from Jeff Walker. The deck is just an old test mule of his, the 3/8 skimmer. I asked him to bring it out the last time I was out with them and I liked it so much, he said I could keep it. I never even questioned the traction to be anything other than Agenda for obvious reasons. Good to know. Thanks man.

How does this compare price wise to seadek?

Seadek is $149.95 + shipping for a 39" x 77" piece.. That's for a flat piece no texture. If you want the teak look you have to special order and let them cut it.

Agenda is $119.00 free shipping for a 47" x 86" piece. Available in a bunch of colors and patterns.. You can cut it yourself. Both have the same 3M sticky backing
