    That would be great. I couldn't think of any other way and even had a very mechanically inclined neighbor look at and he came up with same thought I did.

        Thanks 007. I will be back in boat in a few weeks and give it a try. I have more clearance issues due to motor mounts and v-drive support bracket but I am hopeful I can get something better than what I currently have.

          007 - good times this past weekend and hope the rest of your Sunday surfed well.
          I did get a chance to look at my setup. This time I had the back seat in which gave me a different perspective.
          I will be able to setup my strainer like yours and still have plenty clearance from seat. I may have to add a 90 barb fitting but will try without. I will back down I a few weeks and will make the change then and post pics. Thanks again 007

            @captainkurk72 - good times for sure this weekend! Good to meet your crew and yes we had a good surf day on Sunday before the storms set in. Let me know how it goes when you re-orient that strainer.
