Just got a new top hinge for my taps actuator on my 22ve, and can't remember which way the rod on the inside goes. It's tapered on one end. Anybody have any ideas????

I just took this yesterday of my 2006 22ve, fitting a FAE, maybe it will help.
Edit: Sorry the bad photo quality, the boat is parked 4" from the back wall which is why the ram is disconnected from the plate and hanging down.Comment

So I got my new part but it's different from the original. The part that protects the coil is longer. Now the cap won't screw on.
