    RZ4 still here or not

So I have a RZ4 with taps3 and love the boat no complaints. But if you go to tiges home page and scroll down the 2016 lineup doesn't show the rz4 but if you click on the tige boats tab at the top it still shows it being there. I know the talk is all about the rzx and the r series but I'm curious if they actually got rid of the rz4. My dealer is unavailable to tell me so I was curious to see what you all knew. 4 months till boating weather and I'm just passing the time skiing and looking at new gear.

    Thanks

Is the ASR still a thing? The ASR and the RZ4 are weird on tige's website

The asr is still on the site. Seems like every yr some one comes out with a longer boat. Does that mean they retire the rz4 an come back later with rz6?

RZX = taps3 and rear converting center seat

ASR = AVX but no flip seat

Has anyone else noted another actual difference? They are both essentially a Z3 with a pickle fork bow? No?

Entirely different hulls by a long shot. The RZX and ASR might be close, but the weted surface is way different then that of the Z3.

The overall outline and the cabin of the ASR and RZX are very similar. The meat and potatoes of the hulls are different. The RZX does share some features with the Z3 and all the Zs and most all Tige's (i.e. the convex V hull design). Put a RZX and Z3 side by side and you would not mistake one for the other.
Only time will tell if the RZ4 goes away. I would have suspected the ASR to slowly drop out of existence first, but some say the wakeboarders like the wake.

When I go to the tige website and look at 2016 lineup the RZ4 is right there. When I bought mine it was a toss up between a 15 on the lot for a great price, or ordering a 16. So I know the 16s are there. I haven't heard anything about them being discontinued.

yes the RZ4 is a thing...they are putting less emphasis on it as it is an older mold, but still an awesome boat and very much available

there is a huge difference between the ASR and the RZX, i would try and steer and new customer to the RZX rather then the ASR they handle so differently.

I made recent trip to the Tige Dealer, and they explained the ASR is an EPIC wakeboard boat but was and is not designed for surfing as the Z models, R Models, and of Course RZX are. They told me the ASR throws surf size wakes at 60 feet. Now whether or not he was trying to sell me a boat or giving me facts, the one thing he definitely said was not a surf boat. As SKSailboatshop said, IF I were looking at a new surf boat the RZX or RZ4 would be the way to go.
