Given the high hours and amount of $ in ballast to get it surfable - you might want to look at the loaded 2006 24Ve that Dakota4ce is selling...

      The german618,

I think I know this boat...

Is it at Greenhouse Marine in Norco, CA? I think it is now called Tilly's Marine. If so, I looked at that boat about 4 months ago before I found my 05 24V on Craigslist of all places. I believe it had been up for sale for a long time (even before I looked at it) and the guys at the dealer personally knew the owner. They must have dropped the price, as when I looked at it I seem to remember them wanting $33K. Man, the interior needed a lot of work when I looked at it (and the original $33k price wasn't worth it).

Back to the boat/original owner - I am sure it has been professionally maintained but I believe it was ridden pretty hard. In talking with Justin, the consignment guy at Tilly's (again a few months ago), it was a local Canyon Lake boat and all of the guys had rode behind/partied on it multiple times over the years.

I believe the boat has a new 5.7L though? For some reason I seem to remember the dealer telling me it had been recently replaced and the 700 hours did not reflect the new engine? I am surprised it is only 315 HP and not the 340 HP if it is in fact a new motor???

(all of this feedback assumes it is the same boat I looked at. I could be off my rocker... :-)

For the tower, I really like the built in racks and I was able to easily find replacement padding and bungie cords at Harbor Freight. I also used this product called wipe new on al of the black trim and it looks brand new!

      Hope this helps...

Dakota4ce has a sweet boat, and basically the exact same boat I have so I know what its capable of and the fact that its "done" in terms of upgrades. Unfortunately, he is half the country away and little over budget for what my buddy is looking at.

Yes, I am pretty sure we are talking about the same boat, I was not aware of a new engine I will have to ask them for sure about that. From what the dealer told me is yes they have all been on the boat over the years and that is was "used" but still a solid boat. The vinyl is being repaired at this time (bow seats, sun deck, few other little areas) price will jump slightly but seemed reasonable assuming they do a good job with it. I was also told by Tim down there that the boat lived the majority of time in Havasu and that it rarely was in California except for annual maint. I always thought Canyon Lake had a strict 21' rule, but I could be wrong, maybe Lake Elsinore? I may have to give Dakata4ce a ring and see if we can work something out if this falls through. Thanks for the info. I want make sure my buddy gets a boat that will last him another decade and not burn out in the first season, and will survive the few accidents that most new boat owners make.

No problem. You may be right about the length limit on Canyon Lake. It has been awhile since I talked to those guys.
