24V or Ve Owners

Hey guys,

What are the differences in a 2006 24V and 24Ve? Also, what years were the boats the same as 2006?

The reason I ask is that I have a brand new in the box Westland Custom boat cover for a 2006 24V with waketower and I wondered if it would fit the Ve as well? Also, which years it would fit besides 2006. Looking to sell the cover for over 1/2 price of new, but it is still new. Here are the details:

From Year 2006 to 2006
Brand: Westland Covers
Cover # TG69081S
Fabric: Sharkskin Plus
Color: Black
Retail: $845
My usual price: $510

Would sell it for $230 (not sure you can get a generic cover for that price)
Price will include shipping if in the lower 48.
A deal like this doesn't come up very often, I think this is only my 2nd in six years where the manufacturer shipped the wrong cover.

Again, just need to see if it will also fit the 24Ve model.

These boats are very similar, but the covers are not interchangeable due to the tower legs as well as the transom design of each model. A "V" cover is only going to fit a V boat, wont fit a Ve. For the Ve, the hull was the same from 06 till it was retired. In regards to a cover, the tower would make a difference though, but the Ve hulls were all the same.

06 was the last year for "V" hull and I think 04 was the first year for that particular 24V hull.

Did any 06 models come with the Metcraft tower? Or did they all change to the Tige tower in that model year?

If it is a V with the Tige tower, then it is a rare beast.

Regardless, anyone who may have a boat that would fit should look into this. That is a great price for a cover. Good to see someone finding a gem when cleaning out the closet.

Good info, thanks! There is a different cover number for a Ve cover, but wanted to ask the experts.
