    15 z3 screen issues

    Hello everyone,

    I have been running my 2015 Tige Z3 for a season and put slightly over 100 hours on it. I have had continuous issues with the touch screen fuzzing out and requiring a power cycle. I had the dealer redo the software and it still is having an issue. Has anyone had any issue like this?

    To add I have been having really inconsistant depth readings... It would read proper depth then read 0 then 999.9... And this would be in the middle of the lake at 90 feet.

    I had the depth issue one time and it was fixed with a software flash update.

    The screen has frozen a few times on me in the last year. As long as I am not changing settings on the surfer I keep running it until we stop to swtich. A couple minutes with the blue button off, or shutting the engin down and recycling the battery switch always fixes mine. I've not found a trigger for sure, although I am somewhat suspect my iphone connection has something to do with it. I am inevitably messing with the tunes or something happens with my phone right about the time the screen freezes.

      Yeah,

      I find the audio system also is a bit buggy. I am hoping polk has an update for this system soon.

        I have had both problems from day 1. The screen issue was corrected after a 2nd update attempt. Make sure you have software version 08.11.15. I was told that the update makes the internal cooling fan run more often. I have been in contact recently with Tige via my dealer concerning the depth readings. They recommended that a connection at the engine harness be checked and if that does not fix the issue, they will replace the depth sensor. Won't know until were back in the water next spring.

            I initially had the "fuzz" issue, since my boat was an early '15 production and there was a newer flash for it by the time i started using it heavily. Ive put another 100 hrs on it since that update and have not had it do it again. The volume control function will freeze every once in a while, but I think it is linked to an iPhone issue.

            Depth only goes whack in really choppy conditions, and haven't had any issue with that since the latest update.

            Good luck, and I hope you get it resolved. Its frustrating for sure.

              Did your dealer do the update? If so do they tell you which version?

                My dealer did do the update, as I thought it could have been something bigger. Thankfully it wasn't. Larry at Texas Tige in Conroe Tx could probably tell you which version... Give them a call if needed.
