    Port side seat RZR

Hi all, does anyone have a solution to keep the port side seat up when open such as a gas strut? Any specs on parts needed? TIAImageUploadedByTapatalk1449557209.736492.jpg

I am going to do a similar project this spring so my front seats. I wouldn't think you need much lifting force for your application. I used a fish scale to determine mine. Be sure to place the scale at a point where your shock will be mounted to the seat. The amount of force needed increases as you get closer to the seat hinge. if the seat is long, you may want to consider two, which would reduce your lifting force by half and reduce stress to the seat and hinge. The site will show you how to measure for the length of shock needed.

Rather then a gas lift/support, I would look at those spring type hatch/seat supports that u just flick it in the center and it folds in half and lets the seat or hatch down. It will hold the seat up, but not want to lift the seat unintended.
