    Duff.

Is that 12 mph GPS calibrated. I'm just curious. Impressive wave behind your rig man.

No clue, someday I should test. First thing anyone says though is how fast we surf. I love watching peoples jaw drop when they surf it for the first time. I go out on boats all the time, G23, G25, 247 etc... all surf around 10.-11.2 All feel much slower.

I never have seen waves that big before, maybe I am just not slamming my boat enough. Never imagined a wave produced by any sport boat that would be over head high regardless of crouched or not. IDboat, any chance the system on the Malibu is one we all may have heard about before;-)

Might I point out: Bigger is not always better (insert phallic jokes here). I am with Duff, I think the Malibu pic wave looks short--as in "not long." If you slam the hell out of your boat and go 10.5, you can make a mountain. We all know that. It makes cool pics but not the best surf if you ask little old me.

I learned later in the summer that 12mph make a long granite-like wave that is fun as all hell. Not staggeringly tall, but hard and pushed like a beast. Thats with 3500# give or take in the listed 24Ve.

the guy behind the Malibu is in a full on crouch. The kind crouch you only see in the womb

If the wave was 6" taller I might be impressed

I'm still curious to see a gate boat with only one side big time weighted...... ie drop it down on the rub rail THEN engage the opposite tab

We tried that with a g23 and a 247. Didn't really work. I needed to spend more time dialing it in, but pretty even with everyone on one side worked the best.

The system is called a G23.

Just kidding, but the principle is the same. It appears that they flattened out the rear of the boat, made it much deeper, and added 3,000 pounds of subfloor ballast. The specs rumored on the Malibu Crew were that it only has 3,000 pounds of ballast, but they include the wedge as part of the ballast package and called it 4K+. All speculation for now until the big reveal Thursday. It does have surfgate. What other 'system' can we speculate on?

Its a sharp looking boat no doubt, I am sure we all believe we have the best waves because well......there our waves. I love my Tige' and can't see owning any other boat, that being said I love surfing so to me (personally) if it throws a wave whether its a Tige. G-Model, Malibu, Supra, whatever ill surf it cause it doesn't matter I enjoy the sport. Its similar to ocean surfing, everyone loves their home break, but its always fun to go find a new wave somewhere and master it. Enjoy what you have, enjoy what others have because at the end of the day we all have 1 thing in common we enjoy surfing and pushing the sport. Ill step off the soap box now.

Snagged this pic from my Instagram... Are the towers on these dudes mounted towards the back or is this just a goofy angle... This picture is reminiscent of an off shore power boat to me... A little Miami Vice throw back?

goofy angle id say. Bu mounts the G3 and G4 towers in the neighborhood of about 18" behind the end of the windshield.
