    Real or photoshop?

So a buddy of mine owns a Malibu dealer and has his hands on the 2016 M235 by Malibu and sent me this photo. I am not sure if he is messing with me or this is real, what do you all think is this possible?image.jpg
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

I would say real. That boat is big. Like ASR or G23 big. I have seen the wave behind the new 25LSV and its big and meaty. I bet that thing is loaded down too. I believe it's a brand new hull design as well. There's more pictures of it on TMC.

It's a brand new hull being released on Thursday.

If the question is "Can you really make a wave this big?" the answer is yes, several of us on here have been making waves that big for years now.

Mine does that at slower speeds and a little opposite on the wheel. I would say mine is much bigger

I'm not saying you haven't or dont make a wave that big, but that is significantly bigger than any wave/wake I have seen from any boat on any forum.

And no one here is saying that's not a nice wave. It's all good. But some folks here have been slamming their boats for a long time, with awesome results!

Here are a couple of shots of our wave from several years ago, and it's gotten bigger and better since. Just something to strive for....

Thats a beautiful wave, for sure, BUT I feel like if someone was crouching and looking towards it, they would be looking over it... not a foot from the top LOL. That wave behind the M235 looks massive. Differences could be in camera angle though, not sure.

Looks a little short in both pictures. My guess is they are running slower, thus making a taller wave, but it's not a "good" wave. A slammed malibu 247 is just about as good of a wave as you can get. Google Stanley wheelhouses 247. He is running a ton of weight, but boy is it awesome. A few pro buddies, still to this day say it's the best they have surfed.

Here are a few of my boat. Looks similar in size and shape and we are surfing fast. Like 12-12.5 mph.

Here are a few things to consider.

                          Speed
Angle of which it was taken (lots of tricks can be used)
Height of the person (the girl in the picture is 5'2")

If I "squat" (sit on my haunches), the wave is over my head. I don't even have to crunch down like that first photo... just squatting is enough. For scale, here's an example from when I was tired and needed a power nap (again from a few years ago, wave is bigger now):

...and for scale, here's my son kneesurfing a year or two later, the wave is tall enough to be off the top of the photo. The board is 4-7:

The great news is that you don't have to buy a brand new boat to have BIG surf waves!

4k in ballast! WTF, that is nuts. I bet that is weighted even for surfgate.
