    Scratch and dent Inland Surfer

I ran across a Mucus at a big box store. The original price was $650. They had it marked down to $400. Then the guy said he could take off $50 more. He said they purchase them for $385.

It is banged up all around the nose and a few spots on the very outside of the rails. Not really on the edge though. The funny thing is that they tried to epoxy the dents. They didn't sand them. So now it's a bit bumpy. I should have taken pictures.

So I don't care how stuff looks as long as it performs right. The bottom of the board is perfect and with careful sanding I'm sure I can smooth out the epoxy they put on it.

I'm still a rookie surfer and am curantly on the cheapest board the dealer had when I got the boat, a jobe fade. I can surf wirelessly as long as I want and am just starting to really play with the wave, spins and such.

What do you think? Should I run back and grab it or should I be happy I passed it up?

What year is it? I think they change the graphics every year, so with a little research, you might find the board is 5 years old. Not that it really makes a big difference, they should last years, unless released in the gorilla cage at the zoo, which it sounds like this one may have been.

A quick google search shows loads of them for sale for $525. So 350 for a scratch and dent would seem to be a sweet ride to me. On a side note, I have the yellow loogie and think it is a great board. I think they are pretty similar, IIRC.
    Be excellent to one another.

      Thanks for the feed back.

Anyone ride this board? What are your thoughts?

One more thing. I lost a fin on my Yellow Loogie and it was 70$ to replace it. So if you don't like the fin setup, don't imagine a fin swap is cheap.

Looks to be the going rate of all nice fins.
