    More Surfing on the RZX

Nothing like surfing in the Fall in NorCal, add the RZX to the mix and it can't be equaled. ;-)

Looks awesome. Still the same setup of stock plus 500lbs in both rear lockers?

The wake has so much power it allows you a lot of speed, the lip and shape is great for airs, they usually have me steepen it a bit for them, the transition is so good that they don't get hung up after pumping and then launching, and then they are both limber and have been practicing a lot.

The best thing for getting bigger airs is stretching or being young and limber and practicing on a skate board on the grass or something to really nail down the ollie technique.

The last thing, is there is this wax, called PUNT wax. I don't recommend you use it all the time, because its like chewing gum and gets all over everything. I don't let Thomas use it anymore since the beginning of the year since its a mess but put a little on and it will help you, and then once you really start learning to get your legs up, you stop using it. For Thomas and others, I notice that they still get higher without using PUNT after they have used it for a bit, I think it helps them get the feel.

At the end of the day, its all about good ollie technique, how much speed you can generate, and a good wake to launch from.

PUNT is so sticky that it will help you get airs, I mean you can just be in the flats and lift your knees up without any technique whatsoever and your board will follow. But you also can't move your feet on your board either. So once the novelty wears off, use it sparingly or not at all. If you try it, wear socks and put them on after you surf or you will track that stuff all over your boat; keep a sock on your board. ;-)

Ragboy - How does it compare to a G21/G23?

I think the wake is better, better transition and better shape. I think the shape is more preference, but the transition I think is not a preference issue. The RZX requires a bit more weight, but that doesn't bother me because the RZX weighted how we had it doesn't even feel weighted. There is no list and you don't feel lower to the water in any way. Not to mention, I think the RZX is losing less fuel. I THINK the RZX has more push, but maybe if you matched weight, it would not, I don't know.

Not to dis a G, though, its a gorgeous boat, especially the interior and driver controls, and the wake is great.

For us, its all about the wake, that is what brings us out more than anything. All things being equal I would pick the RZX over the G solely for the wake.

                      Dumb question, what is "transition"?
