    22i

I have a 2006 22i, and when running at cruising speed in chop (very small lake, small chop), the ignition alarm comes on. The engine gages all read normal, and the engine does not die, just the ignition alarm goes off (the sound the ignition makes when you turn the key to the on position). I have to turn the boat off, and restart to stop the alarm, and every thing is back to ‘normal’. Another minute ridding in chop and the alarm comes on again. This only happens in choppy conditions. Obviously something is loose??? Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Start behind your dash, and make sure all the wire connections are tight. My boat doesn't have the problem yours does, but stuff does get loose back there once in awhile. It usually clears up the issues that I get.

Do you have either PP or AccuSet? My 06 22ve does this except the engine drops to idle also (throttle by wire). I have the AccuSet.
