I like how that uses a receiver hitch, but I think I want to build mine so it has an adjustable ball height much like a jack stand. Quickly adjust the height of the ball to match the coupler, then only a few turns of the trailer jack to get the weight on it.

I think I would narrower tires with a single pivot wheel, like Johnny 5 from short circuit

After looking at a few online, I think i could whip up my own design fairly easy. Would love to put two trigger levers on the handle one forward and the other for revers rather then need a third hand to work the winch control. This will likely drive the cost up though

The tongue weight on a Tige is really low, so it probably doesn't need to be nearly so heavy duty. Cool idea though. I want one now (even though I have no need whatsoever)

Can't wait to see when 'Johnny 5's alive!". Anything you do comes out looking professional and better than bought in a store. Plus when you are done modifying it, it will end up with LEDs, speakers, and jumpers cables.

Just my 2 cents, the have motorized/battery powered versions they use for moving aircraft around. They slide under the nose gear and you can just move it around, and they work pretty good. I am having a RV garage built on our summer house 14 foot door, 12 feet wide, 43 Feet Long, even with the trailer guides a average driver can slide a boat in with plenty of room on either side.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

Wow! Those are expensive. I paid $1200 for my little forklift. It moves the boat around with ease and still fills many, many other purposes.
